CLAYTONE AF is an organophilic bentonite derivative which is used as a thixotropic thickener and anti-settling agent in solvent based systems. CLAYTONE AF provides easy dispersion and self-activation properties. As a specially activated organophilic smectite, CLAYTONE AF can swell in organic media and build a stable gel structure. This gel structure provides thixotropic properties to prevent sagging and settling of the material. CLAYTONE AF is suitable for low to medium polarity solvent systems and compatible with various resins and oils used in surface coating applications. It can effectively be utilized as a powder additive or post added to achieve the required viscosity and flow properties without sedimentation.
