BYK-1165

BYK-1165 is a multi-purpose additive used in highly filled formulations. It acts as both a dispersing agent and viscosity reducer, lowering viscosity at low and high shear rates. BYK-1165 improves flow and leveling of thick formulations. It enhances substrate wetting and coverage. As a result, only a single coat may be needed to achieve the desired performance. This saves on material costs. BYK-1165 allows formulations to remain easily processable while maintaining or improving mechanical properties. The end products can have improved durability in various conditions. BYK-1165 is recommended for use at levels between 0.5-5% by weight of the total formulation.
