BAYHYDUR ULTRA 2655

BAYHYDUR ULTRA 2655 is a hydrophilic aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). It is a crosslinking agent that provides reliable incorporation and high chemical resistance. Despite its relatively low hydrophilicity, BAYHYDUR ULTRA 2655 can be easily dispersed in the aqueous phase, even at low shear forces that are commonly found during applications. Coatings formulated with BAYHYDUR ULTRA 2655 yield films with high gloss and very low haze. The product also allows controlled increase in viscosity during mixing that is typical for hydrophilized systems. BAYHYDUR ULTRA 2655 is suitable for waterborne two-component systems where durable finishes with fast drying and curing are required. It can deliver films with high ultimate hardness and excellent chemical resistance ideal for demanding exterior applications.
