BYK-P 104 S

BYK P 104 S is a controlled flocculating wetting and dispersing additive for medium-polarity to high-polarity solvent-borne systems to prevent the flooding/floating of titanium dioxide in combination with colored pigments. It contains silicone to improve flooding/floating behavior. BYK P 104 S provides targeted, controlled flocculation of pigments building bridges between particles creating three-dimensional networks. This controlled flocculation primarily prevents flooding and floating along with settling and sagging. BYK P 104 S is suited for medium-polarity to high-polarity systems to prevent titanium dioxide flooding/floating with colored pigments. It improves anticorrosive properties in protective primers and prevents formation of Bénard cells improving surface slip, leveling, and orientation of matting agents and aluminum pigments. In most cases, additional silicone additives are not required.
