OPTIGEL-WA

OPTIGEL WA is a specially selected, activated, organically modified smectite product that has high swelling capacity in water and shows a marked thixotropic thickening effect. As an additive, OPTIGEL WA prevents the settling of heavy pigments or fillers in formulations. It allows for the production of storage stable systems and inhibits sagging when applied, allowing for thick, even coatings. Due to its incorporated yield value and thixotropy, OPTIGEL WA improves application properties considerably. As a thixotropic agent, it enables thick coatings to be applied without dripping. OPTIGEL WA is ideally suited for use in emulsions, where it facilitates dispersion and ensures a smooth appearance once dried.
