BYK-W 975

BYK W 975 is a wetting and dispersing additive that is commonly used for stabilizing organic and inorganic pigments in pigment pastes for closed mold applications within the Advanced Materials industry. BYK W 975 improves the pigment wetting and shortens the dispersion time of pigments used in Advanced Materials. The additive prevents flocculation of the pigments and therefore stabilizes the color strength and tone of the pigment pastes. It generates a uniform electrical charge in all the pigment particles, thereby preventing co-flocculation of particles that are not equally charged. As a result of its high molecular weight, BYK W 975 has no negative influence on the resin properties critical for Advanced Materials performance and durability.
