BYK-370

BYK 370 is a silicone-containing surface additive that is polyester-modified for solvent-borne systems. It strongly reduces surface tension. BYK 370 improves slip, solvent and weather resistance, anti-blocking and reduces dirt susceptibility. BYK 370 accumulates on coated surfaces and incorporates into polymer networks to anchor in coatings for long-lasting effects. Its reactivity allows it to be chemically bonded at coating surfaces. BYK 370 also reduces surface tension to enhance substrate wetting, leveling and prevent formation of irregularities. It is primarily used in two-pack polyurethane systems and can also be used with alkyd, polyester, acrylate and epoxy binders. BYK 370 provides benefits such as improved durability, easier application and a smoother finish for long-lasting protective sealants in various applications.
