DISPERBYK-2159

DISPERBYK 2159 is a highly effective wetting and dispersing additive suitable for use in various coating systems including UV-curing and conventional solvent-borne systems. DISPERBYK 2159 excels at dispersing and stabilizing untreated and treated silica-based matting agents. It provides excellent viscosity reduction and improves matting properties. When combined with matting agents, DISPERBYK 2159 strongly reduces viscosity and minimizes thixotropy generating Newtonian flow behavior. This allows for significantly higher loading of matting agents and a more homogeneous incorporation and orientation of the agents. DISPERBYK 2159 is particularly suitable for coatings in advanced material applications, as it supports optimized rheology and higher loading of fillers and additives required for performance. The additive has outstanding compatibility with resins, monomers and solvents used in such coating systems.
