MICA F

MICA F is a muscovite-type mica from our own Austrian deposit. MICA F has a high specific gravity of 2.85 and Moh's hardness of 2.5 making it an ideal filler for applications requiring durability. Its high whiteness of 83% FMY and low humidity content of <1% at 100°C provides opacity and moisture resistance. MICA F has a neutral pH of 9.5 allowing it to be used in a wide range of formulations. Its oil absorption of 24 g/100g and spec. surface area of 12 m2/g enhances the hiding power and smoothness of finished products. MICA F has a loose bulk density of 440 g/l providing an optimized balance of strength and weight for demanding load-bearing uses.
